As predicted by Lloyd Expert Consultancy Ltd at the start of 2023, the number of independent ACDs will drop to 9 by the end of 2023.
This is in stark contrast to the start of 2022 when 14 independent ACDs were operating in the marketplace and is an indication to the direction of travel that the UK oversight marketplace is heading.
Unfortunately the reduction in choice and operators may not be the best result for the marketplace.
